I ordered from Laura-James as the website said the item was in stock and that orders were normally dispatched within 2-3 days. After some chasing, and delays replying to emails, which informed us of a backlog in the warehouse, the table arrived a couple of weeks after the order was originally placed. Without 4 essential screws for assembly (the ones that screw the table to the legs). The assembly instructions advised that spare parts were kept in stock and to let them know if any part was damaged (or presumably missing). We informed the company that the screws were missing and we were told that these screws were not in stock and an order had been sent to the warehouse to break open a new table so that they could send us the screws; expect to receive them in 4-7 working days. 4 days later we were informed that the replacement order had been dispatched. 6 days later screws still not arrived. Were told the replacement order hadn’t been scanned through the network. Another request had been sent to the warehouse to break down a full unit to get the necessary part. Once dispatched we would be updated. I then got this request to review the product and thought I’d wait until we had actually been able to assembled the table. Almost a week later, still no update. So what I can say is, I’ve no idea how good the table is as it’s still in its box. The box itself is a fine enough box but looks untidy leaving against the kitchen wall collecting dust and is not something that you could set a meal on. The customer service has been very polite and apologetic but the fact is, a month and many emails after ordering a table we expected to have within a few days, in time for a special occasion, we are still looking at a dusty box with no obvious end in sight.
