Behind the Scenes: What’s Been Happening at Laura James for SS25
Here at Laura James, we work hard behind the scenes to create collections across garden, indoor furniture, and accessories for every season. The Laura James garden furniture and indoor collection comes together with all teams working cohesively to launch our latest products. Here’s a roundup of what’s behind happening at Laura James for SS25.
Creating A Collection
Our buyer’s must plan and research every piece of furniture months in advance of launching the product, considering innovative designs, improving our material quality as well colour palettes for the season ahead. Our customers are at the heart of every collection, that’s why Laura James strives to produce furniture to suit your homes and lifestyles.
A collection is created featuring our pieces, this season one of our garden collections is Olive Grove, inspired by the colours of the Mediterranean such as warm yellows, olive greens and earthy terracotta. We introduced more colour to our garden range this season with sets like the Wilder dining table set, our Wren plastic garden chairs and yellow garden accessories like the Selu cushion and throw blanket.
We also launched our first range of concrete and terrazzo side tables, designed for both garden and indoor use.
At Laura James we are always looking for ways to improve our product, which is why this season our classic rattan garden furniture pieces were improved with a higher quality synthetic rattan. Plus, we extended rattan sets by introducing our first fire pit dining set, which proved to be very popular.
For indoor one of our interior stories was very much focused on curves, soft fabrics and neutral home accessories including pieces like the Langton natural wooden mirror and Nathalia boucle sofa. We also introduced a stylish new range of taupe furniture with our new Ines collection.
Bringing Our Products to Life
Our pieces are then shot on location in beautiful homes and outdoor settings, including Ibiza and various location houses in the UK. This is to highlight our furniture in the best way and showcase the designs and details of each piece, bringing the product to life.
Each piece of furniture needs to be positioned in just the right place with the correct lighting and continuity for each shot, which is why Laura James uses location houses with lots of space, natural light, and neutral home décor.
Collaborating with Influencers
This year we have connected with some fantastic influencers that collaborated with us and became part of our brand shoots as well creating their own content for Laura James. Jade from @thehomeofjade loved being part of the garden shoot and said her favourite piece has “got to be the Akira set” one of our beautiful wooden garden furniture sets.
Jade also loved our Nathalia sofa finished in chalk white boucle from our indoor range.
Kirsty from @kirstyannemarr was featured in our indoor shoot and said our Annabelle chaise corner sofa was “so dreamy” she “could picture it in her new living room.”
