Your order for goods is accepted and a contract is formed between Laura James and you when we despatch the goods you have ordered and not before. A contract is not formed at the point in time that payment has been taken from you by Laura James, nor at the point in time that you receive an email from Laura James acknowledging receipt of your order. Until the goods are despatched the order may not be accepted by Laura James, or may be cancelled by you. 


You are entitled to cancel your contract if you so wish, provided that you exercise your right no longer than 14 days after the day on which you receive your goods. If you wish to exercise your right of cancellation, you are obliged to retain possession of the goods and take reasonable care of them. To exercise the right to cancel, you must inform us of your decision to cancel your contract by a clear statement, including details of your name, geographical address, details of the order you wish to cancel and, where available, your phone number and email address, within 14 days of delivery of your order.

If you decide to cancel, you should return the goods to us at your cost within 14 days of such cancellation to the returns address provided and we will refund to you (by the method used to pay for the original transaction) the amount in relation to goods to which cancellation apply. We may make a deduction from your refund for loss in value of any goods supplied if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you. We will refund you no later than 14 days after the day we receive back from you any goods supplied.

You will lose your right to cancel or return goods within the change of mind period in the following circumstances:

  • You have assembled the product
  • You have made amendments to the product
  • You have attempted repairs on the product


It's important that you inspect your order on delivery. If you're not happy, let our delivery partner know at the point of delivery, note the issue on the delivery confirmation and contact us.

Our quality team checks your furniture to make sure it's up to the very best standards before we send it to you however if we've missed something or sent you the wrong thing, just let us know within 30 days from receiving your delivery along with a few photos of the issue. Our team will assess your complaint and work to resolve it.

Please check your all parts of your product for any visual issues before you attempt assembly of the product. Our team cannot assess these issues after the product has been assembled/used.


  1. 2 Year guarantee begins from date of purchase (for all purchases from 01/03/2022)
  2. Proof or purchase must be provided and is the responsibility of the purchaser.
  3. We reserve the right to request images or video demonstrating any fault or to inspect the product to verify any fault.
  4. The guarantee is non-transferable and valid from the date of original purchase only.
  5. Consistent with meeting its obligations under this guarantee, Laura James reserves the right to undertake the least cost option to itself. This may involve rectifying the problem, arranging for the unsatisfactory component to be replaced or refunding part of the original purchase price.
  6. If your item is a part of a set, only the damaged item will be repaired or replaced.
  7. If your product cannot be repaired, we will replace it with the same model. If no longer available, we will provide an equivalent product or value towards the purchase of a new product at our discretion.
  8. The amount of any claim under the guarantee shall be limited to the original purchase price paid for the unsatisfactory product.
  9. This guarantee does not cover:
    • If there is evidence of product abuse, misuse or use in a non-domestic environment.
    • Damage due to deviation from product instructions on assembly.
    • If the product has not been properly maintained in accordance with care instructions.
    • Any alterations or repairs not made by us.
    • Natural wear and tear, including scratches and chips to surface finishes, General wear and tear, including staining, excessive soiling, abrasion, tears and burns, accidental damage, natural cushion interior settlement and flattening and normal bed filling settlement.
    • Dye transfer from non-colourfast plastics, fabrics and clothing (including denim and throws), damage or delamination of the product or finish caused as a result of contamination through contact with hair products and body products or other cosmetic applications such as tanning lotions is excluded.
    • Fading, cracking, and splitting of timber, as part of natural ageing process due to weathering
    • The cracking of wood due to extreme changes in room humidity or direct heat source (air conditioning and radiators) is excluded.
    • If the product is in an unsanitary condition (for example, caused by pets). We reserve the right to refuse to collect and/or dispose of any unsanitary product.
    • If the product has been exported outside of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
  10. The above conditions relating to Laura James’s guarantee are not intended to affect your statutory consumer rights.

Pricing policy

The price you pay is the price displayed on this website at the time we receive your order. While we try and ensure that all prices on our website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of re confirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you within 48 hours we will treat the order as cancelled. If you cancel and you have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund.


From time to time, we will run promotional activity offering savings on our everyday prices. In most cases, this saving will be based on our most recently charged price, however in some cases we may offer savings on a price we may charge in the future.

Price changes will not affect any order we have accepted. We are unable to offer a price reduction on items for item originally purchased that are reduced in promotional activity.

During any event, intervening lower price may apply (Further reductions, Introductory Offer, Clearance). We are also unable to offer any price adjustment on products purchased at a discounted price within promotional activity should the price be reduced further.

Domestic and Commercial use

All Laura James products are designed and manufactured for domestic use. Domestic use furniture is designed for occasional use rather than continuous and high traffic wear and tear synonymous with a commercial or business environment. We work closely with our manufactures to ensure durability and quality with our products for our customers to use and enjoy at home.

Any products that are used in a commercial environment, can include but is not limited to gyms, hotels, spas, offices or any other office for business or commerce, and public venues.

Description of products

The images of the Products on our site are for illustrative purposes only. Although we have made every effort to display the colours accurately, we cannot guarantee that your screen device will display the colours accurately or reflect the exact colour of the Products.

Although we have made every effort to be as accurate as possible, the measurements indicated including weights, dimensions and capacities shown on our site are approximate only.

Outlet Products

All outlet products are offered at a discounted cost due to, but not limited to minor marks, scratches, dents and packaging damage. However, all items sold will be functional with all parts to assemble. Any major faults found must be reported with images of both the packaging and the product within 15 days of receiving the order to our Customer Care team to resolve the issue. We are unable to accept returns of Outlet products that have not suffered major faults.

Unforeseeable Delays

Laura James reserves the right to defer the date of delivery or to cancel the contract or reduce the volume of the products ordered by the customer (without liability to the customer) if it is prevented from or delayed in the carrying on of its business due to circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the Laura James including, without limitation, acts of God, governmental actions, war or national emergency, acts of terrorism, protests, riot, civil commotion, fire, explosion, flood, epidemic, lock-outs, strikes or other labour disputes (whether or not relating to either party's workforce), or restraints or delays affecting carriers or inability or delay in obtaining supplies of adequate or suitable materials, provided that, if the event in question continues for a continuous period in excess of 90 days, the customer shall be entitled to give notice in writing to the Laura James to terminate the Contract.

Where an issue has arisen, including but not limited to late delivery, Laura James shall be given 3 working days to investigate with our delivery partner and reply to any query with respect to the delivery issue that has arisen and provide the customer with further information and solution.

It is our responsibility to supply you with goods that meet your consumer rights. If you have any concerns that we have not met our legal obligations, please contact us.

This policy is offered in addition to your legal rights.

If you wish to unsubscribe from receiving text marketing messages and notifications, reply with STOP to any mobile message sent from us or use the unsubscribe link we provided you within any of our messages. You understand and agree that alternative methods of opting out, such as using alternative words or requests, will not be considered a reasonable means of opting out. We have the right to modify any telephone number or short code we use to operate the service at any time. You will be notified on such occasions. To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree that we will not be liable for failed, delayed, or misdirected delivery of any information sent through the service, any errors in such information, and/or any action you may or may not take in reliance on the information or Service.

Governing Law

These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
