Entertaining Tips for Bank Holiday Weekend

The Bank Holiday weekend is the perfect time to get together with friends and family. With the weather looking bright and warm why not celebrate the long weekend with plenty of food, drinks, and good company in the sunshine. If you’re hosting a garden party, drinks or keeping it low key, here are a few tips to help you prepare.  

Spruce Up the Spare Room  

If you have overnight visitors staying for the weekend, then ensure you have a comfortable place for them to stay. Whether you have a dedicated room with a guest bed or a pull out sofa bed like our Una 2 seater sofa bed in the study, create a relaxing space for your guests.

Declutter and refresh the space with some new bedding and maybe add some storage by freeing up a spare drawer in a chest of drawers or clearing an area in a wardrobe. Make an inviting space with a side table or bedside table and complete the room with a lamp and vase of flowers to make your guests feel welcome. Free up any plugs too so that your guests can use them to charge their phones.

Take some time to organise and tidy your outside space in preparation for guests. Cut the grass, clear the patio, dust off the garden cushions and declutter any bits and bobs in the garden.
